PARIS, June 28: The French government warned on Tuesday of a possible four-billion-euro ($4.83bn) shortfall in projected fiscal receipts for 2005 and raised its public deficit forecast for next year.

In a worst-case scenario, fiscal receipts for 2005 could end up 4.0 billion euros lower than originally forecast, the finance ministry said.—AFP
