HYDERABAD, Jan 11: The activists of the Community Development Association, Wahi Pandhi, taluka Johi, district Dadu, staged a protest demonstration outside the Hyderabad press club here on Friday against the suspension of the development programme of Gorakh hill station.

Talking to newsmen, the leaders of the association, Sanaullah Rustumani, Jameel Ahmed, and others demanded that the development work of hill station should be resumed without delay as it would give a tremendous boost to the uplift of entire Dadu district.

They hoped that after its development, Gorakh hill station would become a centre of tourism and people would forget Murree as the weather at Gorakh hill was far better than Murree.

The CBO activists also demanded that a bridge should be constructed on Nai Gaaj, Pandhi Road, as the people had to face a lot of difficulties during rainy season.

They said that the power supply to the people of Balochistan was being supplied at flat rate but the people of Kachho, which lied at a distance of only one and half kilometre from the Balochistan border were not provided this concession although Kachho was less developed than the adjoining areas of Balochistan.

They called upon the authorities to accelerate the pace of oil and gas exploration in Kachho area which would go a long way in improving the living conditions of the area people.
