TOBA TEK SINGH, Jan 7: Judicial Magistrate Rai Wajid Ali Khan on Monday rejected the bail applications of Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) district President Maulana Muhammad Awais and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F) leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Rabbani.

A case was registered against them a couple of months back with the city police under the maintenance of peace ordinance, section 16, on the charge of delivering provocative speeches in a public meeting.

They had been arrested a few days back and were sent to the lockup on judicial remand on Monday.
