JACOBABAD, May 7: Armed persons shot dead a primary teacher, Mohammad Ayub Dayo, near Lashari Mohalla in the jurisdiction of city police station here on Friday night. He was on his way to home when the armed men opened fire with a pistol and fled. Ayub was seriously injured and was shifted to the civil hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Schools remained closed in the town to mourn the death of the teacher on Saturday.
