LONDON, Oct 20: Amnesty International has expressed concern over recent reports that the Sindh government is interfering in police investigation into the killing of a journalist, Amir Bakhsh Brohi.
Mr Brohi, correspondent of the daily Kawish in Shikarpur, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen outside the Gymkhana Guest House in Shikarpur on Oct 3.
A press release issued by Amnesty International said that it believed that the transfer of the case to Khairpur district for no apparent reason would delay the investigation. It called on the Sindh government to ensure that the killing is immediately and impartially investigated.
