KARACHI, Aug 27: Two ships carrying containers and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Oriental Bright, Kota Wajar, and APL Portugal unload and load containers and L.M.Z. Christina to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Kota Wajar, Clipper and Nikolaos, while Sport Queen, APL Portugal, L.M.Z. Christina, Diana-C, and Oriental Stride are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity was active as the total tonnage rose to 75,090 tons including 36,000 tons of oil. The export tonnage of 11,225 tons comprised general cargo and sugar, while import cargo stood at 63,865 tons.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Dubai, with containers and Byzantio to load 36,000 tons of molasses.

KARACHI, Aug 27: Three ships scheduled to load and offload containers and edible oil were allotted berths at QICT and Multipurpose Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships scheduled to load and offload containers and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage, while five ships were busy in loading and offloading containers and edible oil.

A cargo volume of 31,405 tons comprising 20,321 tons of import cargo and 11,084 tons of export tonnage was handled.
