Shahid guides Pakistan to victory

COLOMBO, Aug 26: Middle-order batsman Shahid Yousaf cracked a stylish unbeaten

136 and led Pakistan Under-19 to a narrow two wickets victory over their Sri Lankan counterparts in a thrilling finish to the first one-day match at Tyronne Fernando Stadium on Monday.

The visiting side won the toss but elected to field and dismissed the home team for 219.

Pakistan thanks to Sialkot-born 17-year-old Shahid achieved the targets with 11 balls to spare. He faced 144 balls and struck 12 fours and four sixes.
