KARACHI, Aug 21: Four ships carrying soyabean oil and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active thanks to steady arrivals. As a result, five ships, Al-Mariyah, to unload and load containers, Mercs Kandy to offload soyabean oil, Corin Thiakos to offload and load general cargo, Sports Queen, to unload DAP fertilizer and Loyalty to offload high speed diesel were berthed.

Five ships, Kota Wangi, APL Shanghai, Lt. Grand, Corin Thiakos and Shirvan departed on Thursday, while Al-Mariyah, World Star, Addarraq, and Loyalty are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 69,211 tons comprising 23,390 tons of export cargo including 12,000 tons of molasses and 46,821 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Spring Ursa, with 5,500 tons of soyabean oil, Kota Intan and Global Prosperity, with containers.
