PESHAWAR, Jan 5: The Peshawar High Court on Friday summoned the SHO of Upper Dir police station for allegedly keeping three persons in illegal detention.

A single bench comprising Justice Shahjehan Khan Yousafzai directed that the SHO should appear with the detenues on Jan 10. The order was issued in a habeas corpus petition filed by Advocate Maazullah Barkandi on behalf of the detenues — Hakeem, Salahud-din and Sher Kareem. The counsel stated that they had been in illegal detention for the last 20 days.
