SUKKUR: Landmines defused

SUKKUR, Aug 20: The Rangers on Wednesday defused four landmines they found in RD-109 area near Sui Pull on the Sindh- Balochistan border.

Rangers personnel are locating landmines in the area since Tuesday.

Meanwhile, armed bandits attacked the Malguzar police station and its picket in RD-109 area.

Two of the bandits were killed and three were injured in the exchange of fire that continued for two hours. The outlaws later fled, taking away the bodies and the injured.

KILLED: A man, Abdul Latif, was shot dead by six people over a dispute between children in Kandhkot, Jacobabad, on Wednesday.

Mohammad Amin, the brother of the deceased, lodged an FIR against Maula Bux, Mustafa, Haleem, Sattar and two others.
