Relief measures termed inadequate

BADIN, Aug 19: Pakistan People’s Party-SB chairperson Ghinwa Bhutto has criticized the government for not providing adequate relief to rain victims of the district.

Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, she said the government had not initiated immediate rescue operation which resulted in huge losses. She stressed the need for taking precautionary measures to avoid such devastation.

About the political situation in the country, she said all the issues, including the Legal Framework Order, should be resolved in parliament and political leaders should not play street politics.

Earlier, the PPP-SB chairperson visited coastal Ahmad Rajo and Shaheed Fazil Rahu villages and other towns and distributed relief goods among rain victims. She was accompanied by Mian Khan Rind and others.
