PESHAWAR, Aug 18: The country is likely to join the International Tobacco Growers Association (ITGA) after a recent offer made to the Pakistan Tobacco Board (PTB) in this regard.

“A two-member ITGA delegation which recently visited Pakistan extended offer to the board to join the association,” said an official.

ITGA’s president and chief executive visited Peshawar last week and met the PTB chairman and other functionaries.

The association would shortly establish its South Asian regional chapter.—Bureau
