LAHORE, Aug 17: Data Ganj Bakhsh Town opposition councillors have criticized Town Nazim Khwaja Hassaan for his failure to tender resignation from office despite making an announcement in this regard after the adoption of a no-trust motion against him on Friday.

Mian Rashed Iqbal, Yousaf Lodhi, Khurshid Anwar, Mian Riaz and Abdul Samad said in a statement their 30 strong group was committed to taking the fight for removal of Hassaan to its end.

They said they and their companions had decided to adopt a no-trust motion against the Nazim without any pressure. They said it was Khwaja Hassaan who was under pressure from his mentors for not quitting his office.— Reporter
