Bid to blow up bridge foiled

QUETTA, Aug 13: Police on Wednesday foiled an attempt by terrorists to blow up a bridge and high voltage power supply line by detecting and defusing an 11 kilogram anti-tank mine.

The mine was planted 15 feet deep underground near the bridge in Killi Khazai area.

A case has been registered but no arrest was made by the police till our going to press.
