Apprehensions rejected

QUETTA, Aug 12: Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf has rejected the apprehensions that the new governor’s appointment is meant to launch a military operation in a particular area.

Talking to newsmen after the oath taking ceremony of the governor here on Monday, the chief minister claimed that his government was in full control of the situation and he would decide about important matters.

Mr Yousuf said that he was satisfied with his government’s performance and it was working within the ambit of the Constitution.

About the resignation of the SSP, Quetta, the chief minister said that it was not accepted and added that he should not have tendered it.

He said it was a disciplinary matter and would be decided according to the rules.

He said that it was not true that Pukhtun population in the province was ignored while providing funds to the rain-affected people and added that all districts affected by the torrential rains were treated equally.
