BADIN, Aug 12: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal leaders said on Monday that the MMA had not accepted the Legal Framework Order as a part of Constitution.
They said that President Gen Pervez Musharraf had promised to complete the democratic process in three years but it seemed that he would not leave the presidency.
They said that the country was not being ruled under a democratic dispensation and the nation wanted a change of system in the country.
They appealed the people to join the MMA for the removal of the government.
The MMA leaders including Senators Shah Ahmed Noorani, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, MNA Maulana Asadullah Bhutto and others were speaking at a public gathering at Mehran Chowk here on Monday.
They said that one man was vested with all the powers which had left the parliament powerless.
They said that the government had mortgaged the nation with Washington and added that the MMA was opposed to sending of troops to Iraq.
They also criticized the foreign policy and said that Pakistan was facing challenges from all corners.
