KARACHI, Aug 9: Faculty of Science won Karachi University Inter-departmental Jinnah women’s volleyball championship beating Faculty of Arts 2-0 in the final at KU Gymnasium on Saturday.

Nadia and Farzana played main role in their teams 25-12, 25-14 win. Farah and Suriya played well for the losers.

Health and Physical Education captured the women’s badminton championship beating Education Department 2-0 in the final.

Faculty of Science also lifted the women basketball title beating Arts Faculty 7-1. Nadia and Rukhsana scored three points each for winner.

Defending Champion Health and Physical Education retained boys their volleyball crown overcoming Department of Education 2-1.

Computer Science Department grabbed the boys hockey competition with a resounding 4-1 victory over Health and Physical Education Department. —APP
