KARACHI, Aug 7: Vice-chairman of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement Iqbal Qureshi was taken into custody by the police for the seventh time on Thursday, shortly after his release orders were issued by the court.
According to a statment issued by the Mohajir Qaumi Movement, as soon as his release orders were issued and the vice-chairman came out of the court room, he was whisked away by the police.
Since then his whereabouts were not known, the statement added.
Mr Qureshi was arrested by the police in similar circumstance on Aug 4 from the court premises immediately after his release.
Recalling his earlier arrests, the statment added that on December 8, 2002, Mr Qureshi was arrested by a heavy contingent of the police and the Rangers.
