SRINAGAR, Aug 6: Suspected Mujahideen beheaded a farmer and his son, while Indian troops shot dead three Kashmiris during two encounters in occupied Kashmir, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
He said farmer Abdul Ahad Khan and his son Ashiq Hussain Khan were killed in the village of Sangrampora, in northern Baramula district, late Tuesday.
“The militants barged into their house, abducted them and later beheaded them,” the spokesman said, adding their bodies were found by villagers on Wednesday morning.
“The immediate motive behind the killings is not known,” he said.
Meanwhile, Indian troops shot dead two freedom fighters in two separate encounters in the northern Kupwara and southern Pulwama districts overnight, police said.—AFP
