RAHIM YAR KHAN, Aug 5: Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool on Tuesday gave away cheques to people at Chak 111-P to help them set up their businesses.
On his visit to the district to further his monitoring of various federal government departments, he said, the Khushhali Bank had been established to eliminate poverty from the country.
Later, he visited Wapda, post office, PTCL and Nadra centres to take stock of their performance and listen to the public complaints.
He directed the authorities concerned to meet the people’s demands and facilitate them.—APP
