PESHAWAR, Dec 31: The Japan Emergency NGO (JEN) has started distribution of 12,000 winter jackets among vulnerable displaced Afghans in the Frontier province.
A press release issued here on Monday said that the jackets were being distributed among displaced Afghans in collaboration with two local NGOs, Welfare and Development Organization and Human Survival and Development.
The press release said that JEN had identified 24 areas in and around Peshawar where a large number of displaced Afghans, including women and children, were living in a lamentable condition.
The statement said that the consignment had been shifted from Tokyo to Islamabad and its distribution would be completed within a month.
