HYDERABAD, Dec 31: Sindh minister for agriculture, forests and wildlife, Mr Hassan Ail Chanhio, has expressed anger on public complaints that migratory birds were being hunted down.
During his visit to the Khar centre of Keerthar National Park the other day, he directed the conservator, wildlife, Sindh, to furnish him a detailed report on the matter and take strict action against the concerned officials.
Mr Chanhio also directed the wildlife officials to spare no efforts in protecting the rare species at the park and provide facilities to the visitors.
He said work must be carried on war footing for the protection and breeding of ibex, wild sheep, black buck, crocodiles and other endangered species.
He said if the people were properly informed about the available facilities including residential facilities at the historical lakes and other tourist spots of Sindh, tourists would throng these places.
He directed that for breeding of the crocodile, an enclosure should be constructed and the weak protective cages of the park should be repaired without delay.—Bureau
