Exports up by 11.5pc

ISLAMABAD, Nov 5: Pakistan’s exports registered a growth of 11.5 per cent during the July-November period of the current financial year over the same period of last year.

Official figures made available to Dawn by Commerce Ministry here on Friday showed that total value of exported goods stood at $4.833 billion during the first five months of 2003-04 against $4.334 billion during the same period last year, indicating an increase of $499 million in receipts.

Pakistan’s exports during November 2003 stood at $859.6 million. The export target for 2003-04 has been fixed as $12.2 billion.
