KARACHI, Dec 31: Six ships carrying containers, chemicals and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing occupancy at the wharves was maintained at 66 per cent as 10 ships berthed or sailed out. The ships, which got berths included MSC Mirella, Kota Segar, Lanka Mahapola and Sinar Bali, which unload and load containers and Sea Al-Natross to off-load and load general cargo.
Five ships, Leixoes, Hyundai Bridge, Sargodha, Sea Al-Batross and Delmun Tern departed, while Central Park, Sagar, Hammurabi, Lanka Mahapola and Maya are due to depart on Tuesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest totalling 50,690 tons comprising 22,092 tons of export cargo and 28,598 tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: MOL Sincerity, X-Press Dhaulagiri, Wan Hai-235, with containers, Greenland Lash Vessel, Golden Gate with crude oil and Ievoli Shine, with chemicals.
KARACHI, Dec 31: Three ships carrying containers, furnace oil and chemicals were allotted berths at Container Terminal, Fotco Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Monday.
Two more ships carrying chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage during the period.
Six ships, Fratzis, Devolan, Austac Nova-Francisca Schulte, Conti Cartagen, Sea Pride and Chem Star Duke were at the wharves and busy in loading/discharging containers, wheat, general cargo, furnace oil and chemicals.
A cargo volume of 41,355 tons, exclusively imports, in addition to 1,248 containers (Tues), was handled.
Three ships, Chemstar Duke, Francisca Schulte and Conti Cartagen were expected to sail out on Monday.
Following ships were at the outer anchorage: Ships name Commodity Local Agent Ievoli Shine Chemicals G.A.C. Anaria Chemicals G.A.C.
Ievole Shine and Anaria were expected to take berths at Marginal Wharf and Engro Vopak Terminal on Monday.
