KARACHI, Dec 30: A fiery spell of pace bowling by Rajesh Ramesh which included a hat trick, coupled by a spirited knock by Hilary Rodrigues, enabled KGA Gymkhana register a handsome 136-run victory over Sadiq Gymkhana in the Super Six Invitation Cricket league played at the KGA ground Sunday.

Batting first KGA raced to 232 for seven in their 35 allotted overs, through Hilary Rodrigues (66), studded with 10 boundaries and a six, younger brother Jonathan Rodrigues (47), Victor Sebastian (37) and Freddie Decruze (26 n.o.).

Amir Jabbar two for 32, with Akbar Juma Khan and Naveed Ahmed two for 44 apiece were amongst the wickets that fell.

Sadiq Gymkhana chasing 233 runs for victory, got off to a fine start when Mohammad Sadiq (22) and Naveed Haider (21), put on 35 runs for the opening wicket. But with Rajesh grabbing four wickets for 21 runs including a hat trick, half the side were back in the pavilion for only 60 runs.

All Rajesh’s victims were clean bowled.

With Andre Bernard picking up three for 32, Sadiq Gymkhana were skittled out for only 96 runs in 21.5 overs.
