LARKANA, Nov 7: The Sindh High Court, Larkana circuit bench, on Friday directed the registrar of the Sindh Agriculture University to appear on Nov 13 before the court in connection with a petition filed by a lecturer in the Z. A. Bhutto Agriculture College, Dokri.

The lecturer, Dr Karam Hussain Wadho, has moved the court after he was denied promotion to the post of assistant professor while four others were promoted to the same post.

In his petition, he said that he was not only senior to them but also qualified for the post.

His counsel, Safdar Bhutto, said that instead of placing the promotion case before the syndicate, the SAU vice chancellor himself rejected it, which the petitioner said was against the rules.

The bench also asked for the details of the availabile posts of assistant professors in the college.
