KARACHI, Nov 1: The syndicate meeting of Karachi University was adjourned for indefinite period on Saturday after exchange of words between the vice-chancellor and some syndicate members over initiation of inquiry against a university teacher.

According to a syndicate member, majority of syndicate members favoured constitution of an inquiry committee to probe the allegations of financial embezzlements against a teacher of pharmacology department. The syndicate has set up a probe committee in this regard. —PPI
