TOKYO, Oct 31: Japan’s unemployment rate in September was unchanged from August at 5.1 per cent despite recent signs of a gradual export-led economic recovery, the government said on Friday.

Other data released on Friday also did little to bolster the case for an economic upturn, leaving the stock market to fall about 1.50 per cent even as the yen eased against the dollar following record-breaking third quarter US growth figures of 7.2 per cent.—AFP
