SUKKUR, Oct 12: One policeman was killed while another injured when a pickup ran over them near Garhi Yasin Shikarpur district on Saturday.

Two police constables, Shaman Shah and Khursheed Ahmed, deployed at the Wakar police picket near Garhi Yasin were crossing the road when a pickup ran over them.

Shaman Shah died on the spot while Khursheed Ahmed was injured and shifted to the civil hospital Shikarpur.

The Police have arrested the owner of pickup, Agha Arshad, while driver, Abdul Rahim, managed to flee.

Arrested: The Jacobabad police arrested two motorcycle snatchers, Ghulam Qadir and Khairuddin Domki on Saturday.

The police recovered five stolen motorcycles, one Kalashnikov rifle and one pistol from the possession of those arrested.
