JHANG, Dec 23: A man was allegedly implicated in a false case and put behind the bars by Shorkot city police for filing an application against the Warryam police post in charge.
Sabir Husain Shah of Peerwala stated in an application to the Jhang SSP that he purchased agricultural land from Ghulam Raza two years ago. In the first week of this month, Ghulam Raza, his sons — Mehdi, Hadi and Zahid — and Warryam police post in charge inspector Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, who is a relative of Raza, hatched a conspiracy to take back the possession of the land, he alleged.
On Dec 5, Ghulam Raza along with his sons and accomplices tried to take the possession, and on resistance, they injured Mujahid and Abid, the brothers of Sabir.
Sabir and his brothers got an MLC from hospital and approached the Shorkot city SHO for registration of a case against the accused, but he asked them to contact the Warryam post in charge. The complainants went to him, but to no avail.
The aggrieved party approached the Jhang SSP who marked their application to the Shorkot DSP for inquiry. But before the inquiry could start, a false case was registered against Sabir, his brothers and other relatives by the Shorkot city police.
Later, the police arrested Sabir.
