PESHAWAR, Oct 4: Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah has said that the law and order situation in the tribal areas will improve once the reorganization plan of the law enforcement agencies is fully implemented.
He said this while he was being briefed about the reorganization plan of the law enforcement agencies here on Saturday.
He said the law enforcement mechanism in the tribal areas would be strengthened by giving the Khasadari system a comprehensive shape and added that while implementing the plan every efforts should be made to keep a minimum expenditure.
Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) security secretary Brig (retd) Mehmood Shah briefed the governor on the plan. Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, Inspector General of Frontier Corps Maj-Gen Hamed Khan, Commandant Frontier Constabulary Israr Shinwari, Secretary to governor Sahibzada Saeed Ahmad and Additional Home Secretary Mushtaq Jadoon were also present on the occasion.
The reorganization plan of the law enforcement agencies includes the establishment of a well-equipped and fully trained Khasadar force.
