Speaking at the Peshawar District Bar Association, he claimed a formal agreement would be announced after Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali’s return from the United States.
He said issues like extension in the retirement age of the superior courts’ judges, the local government system and the police ordinance had been resolved.
He said the democratic process would flourish after the resolution of the LFO issue.
He said the assemblies had lost their importance due to the protest of the opposition.
He said military interventions and lack of commitment on behalf of the civilian governments had created a vacuum in the system, which undermined the democratic institutions.
