KARACHI, Sept 27: The Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) has termed the decision of increasing fares by a transport association without any approval or notification by the transport department of Sindh government “childish”.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the alliance leaders asked the owners of buses, minibuses and coaches not to consider such statements and decisions.

The KTI leaders said that the announcement of increase in fares, without proper approval by transport department, would not be effective. “Such announcements will only make public quarrel with conductors and drivers,” the statement added.—PPI
