KARACHI, Sept 24: Six ships carrying chemicals, tallow and soyabean meal are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Kota Waris, APL Cairo and Eax Sanctity to unload and load containers and Panos-G, to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of as many.

The departing ships were led by Kota Waris, Frina, Marylaki and Action Express, while Mercs Kandy, APL Cairo, Pu He, Panos-G and Nur al-Jubail are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where the total tonnage further rose to 87,062 tons comprising 4,801 tons of export cargo and 82,261 tons of import tonnage including 57,609 tons of oils.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Northern Snow, with 2,000 tons of chemicals, Botany Treasure, with 7,870 tons of tallow, Bunga Mastiga, Corin Thiakos, with containers, Anneieke, with general cargo and Mercs Komari, with 2,700 tons of soyabean meal.
