Charas, opium seized

KOHAT, Dec 21: The Anti-Narcotics Force foiled an attempt to smuggle  drugs from Darra Adam Khel to other areas of the country and arrested one person.

The ANF staff, during routine checking at the Kotal checkpoint, stopped a Dera Ismail Khan bound Suzuki Jeep (ADA 8860).

During search, 60kg charas and 16kg opium was seized from secret cavities in the vehicle. The value of the consignment is estimated at Rs3 million.

The driver, Abdur Raheem, son of Zair Mohammad, resident of Dera Ismail Khan, was arrested and booked under the Narcotics Control Act.
