KARACHI, Sept 17: Potential export products of Pakistan will be exhibited in India in December 2003 at New Delhi.
President India-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPCCI), Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour in a statement here on Wednesday said he would visit all major chambers in the country to ensure maximum participation of the businessmen in this exposition.
The sectors which have been identified for the Pakistan
Expo in India not only include traditional items like leather, cotton yarn and textiles, agri-based products and dry fruits but also electronic goods, engineering industry, pharmaceuticals, information technology, gems and jewellery of precious and semi precious stones, he informed.
“If newer Pakistan products are identified for export to India and trade basket of Pakistan is diversified, we can sustain relations with India,” Senator Bilour remarked.
Bilour said he would request Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for help in fulfilling legal requirements and make logistic arrangements for organizing Pakistan Expo in India.—APP
