FAISALABAD, Sept 12: Fast bowler Mohammad Sami, sidelined by a stress fracture of the ankle since mid-July, and was recalled on Friday as Pakistan named a 15-man squad for the third One-day International in Lahore on Monday.
Sami, who has started bowling in the nets, is the only addition to the squad of 14 players who figured in the first two games of the five-match series.
Sami, the 22-year-old speedster, was forced to abort his short season with Kent after joining the English county side for a six-week period at the conclusion of Pakistan’s three-match NatWest Challenge series against England in June.
Openers Imran Nazir and Salman Butt together with leg-spinner Danish Kaneria have yet to play in the ongoing series after Pakistan opted for an unchanged side in the matches at Multan and Faisalabad.
Sami, who has the distinction of taking hat tricks in both Test and one-day cricket, has claimed 46 wickets 31 One-day Internationals.
