KARACHI, Sept 11: Five ships including two loaders to load rice and chrome ore are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, APL Emerald, Al-Mirqab, Kota Berjaya, to unload and load containers, Great Sky to offload coal, and Alaska Carrier to offload general cargo were berthed after the departure of eight.
The ships, which departed included Bunga Masdua, Kota Indah, Med Keelung, APL Emerald, Aris Totelis, Pacific Express, Commo-Jc-Jimenez, Energy Century and Nur al-Jubail, while Joyce, Sima Kija, Al-Mirqab, Kota Berjaya, Hyundai Sprinter and Le He are due to sail out on Friday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 66,841 tons comprising 19,927 tons of export cargo and 46,914 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Friday: Sapphire, with lube oil, Wehr Havel with containers, Darya Dhayan, with 41,999 tons of DAP fertilizer, Sun Ann to load 4,500 tons of rice and Guang Huaman to load 11,000 tons of chrome ore.
