Preparations in full swing

ISLAMABAD, Sept 5: Preparations to host this month’s one-day Internationals against Bangladesh and South Africa are in full swing at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

A handout of the Punjab Government said that the pace of different uplift jobs in and around the stadium were discussed in a meeting held on Friday.

District Coordination Officer, Hamid Ali Khan who chaired the meeting, directed the relevant personnel to speed up and ensure that the task of staging the two matches was accomplished well in time.

Pakistan are to play Bangladesh on Sept 18 and later South Africa on Sept 29 at the same venue.

During the meeting, arrangements for sale of tickets, security, parking, provision of drinking water and other matters were discussed in detail.

Hamid also constituted various sub-committees for proper monitoring of renovation as well as repair work.
