PESHAWAR, Sept 5: All Class-IV Government Employees Association, NWFP, has demanded of the government to abolish fixed salary policy for the government employees in the province.

In a joint statement provincial president of the Association Afsar Khan and general secretary Abdus Satar Hoti said that the provincial government had introduced contract system in the province in which salary remains unchanged.

They said that the government announced a fixed salary policy for Class-IV employees to divert attention of opposition members in the provincial assembly from the contract system.

They said that the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal government had given no incentive to 15,000 employees in the province who had been appointed on a contract basis.

The statement said that the employees had postponed their protest on the assurance of the provincial government and the association meeting would now be held in Peshawar on Sept 16 to decide their future line of action.
