US trade team to visit Pakistan

LAHORE, Sept 5: A US trade delegation will visit Pakistan soon to explore possibilities for investment and joint ventures, and to strengthen trade relations between the private sectors of both countries.

Dr Herbert J. Davis, Managing Director, South Asia Affairs of US Chamber of Commerce on Friday in an email sent to former president Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Iftikhar Ali Malik, said American investors linked with the US Chambers of Commerce, leading multinational companies and board members of the US-Pak Joint Business Council will visit Pakistan soon.

Referring to his recent visit to Pakistan, he said he held fruitful meetings with Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz, President FPCCI Riaz Ahmad Tata and other business leaders.

Dr Davis said there was vast scope for investment in different sectors in Pakistan, and that the government had offered incentives to foreign investors.—APP
