RAWALPINDI, Sept 2: The Islami Tahreek Pakistan chief and vice president of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, has said the martyrdom of the Syed Mohammad Baqir Al-Hakim and his colleagues is a proof that in Iraq no power enjoys supremacy or control.
In a press release, he said the extremist were targeting such personalities who could play a part in the future of Iraqi people.
Allama Naqvi said Syed Al-Hakim was a great religious scholar, equally great academic and religious figure who during his 20 years in exile had given to the Iraqi masses the lesson of liberation and sense of equality. He was a bitter opponent of the former regime in Baghdad, he added.
