BAGRAM AIR BASE, Dec 20: Fifty-three British Royal Marines arrived in Afghanistan on Thursday to launch an international security force ahead of the inauguration of a power sharing government.

“It is the initial stage of ISAF (International Security Assistance Force). We are here to start providing security and assistance,” company commander Major Matt Jones told reporters at the air base.—AFP
