KARACHI, Aug 31: District Coordination Officer Mir Hussain Ali has written a letter to the chairman of National Highway Authority (NHA) to draw his attention towards dilapidated condition of Mauripur Road and Estate Avenue; two important arteries of Northern Bypass.
In his letter, the DCO pointed out that maintenance of diversion or an alternate passage in an ongoing project was the responsibility of the organization incharge of the execution.
In the case of Northern Bypass, he said, Mauripur Road and Estate Avenue were falling in the alignment of Northern Bypass and both being in dilapidated condition were causing inconvenience to general public especially the industrialists and cargo handlers.
Despite repeated requests, Mr Hussain stated, the NHA had not started the repair work, although it was a contractual obligation.
He requested the NHA chairman to issue appropriate instructions to the officials concerned for immediate action in this regard.—APP
