PESHAWAR: Who seeks Ulema’s help

PESHAWAR, Aug 29: The World Health Organization’s representative in Pakistan, Khalif Bile Mohamud, has sought the cooperation of the NWFP government for setting up of ulema’s committees at tehsil level to help in the campaign against polio.

The representative told the provincial Zakat, social welfare and women’s development minister that Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmad  would inaugurate the campaign against polio in the NWFP, starting on Sept 1, according to a statement issued on Thursday.—Bureau
