KARACHI, Aug 29: Mr Abdul Quddos Shaikh, 78, father of Mr Abdul Latif Shaikh, secretary to the Editor-in-chief, Dawn, died after a prolonged illness here on Friday. He was laid to rest in the Defence graveyard.

He has left behind his wife, four sons and two daughters.

Soyem will be held on Sunday at Al-falah Masjid, Liaquat Ashraf Colony No 1, Mehmoodabad, after Zohr prayers, and for ladies at his residence 40/C, Liaquat Ashraf Colony 1, Mehmoodabad, Karachi.
