KARACHI, July 23: Three ships carrying containers and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to steady arrivals of foreign flag ships. The ships, which got berths included Eax Sanctity, Oxford, Westerland, and Kota Wangsa to unload and load containers, Saleha al-Deen to offload steel coils, Ponto Medon to unload fertilizer and Oriental Lily to load ethanol.
Four ships, Kota Wangsa, Multan, Gulf Progress and Maya departed on Wednesday, while L.M.Z. Valia, Min He, Westerland, Bunga Masdua, Banglar Kalol and Saleh al-Deen are due to sail out on Thursday.
A total tonnage of 0.100m tons comprising 12,525 tons of export cargo and 87,558 tons of import tonnage including 51,025 tons of oils was handled.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Lombardia, with crude oil, Kota Teraju and Norasia Punjab, with containers.
