Meanwhile, sewage, along with rain-water, has accumulated at the main entrances of two leading city hospitals, creating problems for patients, adds APP.

The heavy down-pour in Karachi on Saturday, caused inconvenience to people, especially those visiting the JPMC and other public sector hospital in Karachi.

The scenario was particularly scary for mothers carrying their toddlers and wading through the stinking water towards OPDs at the JPMC and Civil Hospitals in Karachi.

The experience was equally terrible for patients, of different age groups, who were compelled to visit hospitals as either they had to procure prescribe drugs or undergo advised investigations, otherwise non affordable for them, at private sector institutions.

Most severe situation was at Sobhraj Maternity Hospital, where knee-deep water was seen at the hospital premises.
