KARACHI, July 18: Four ships carrying containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Orient Stride, to unload and load containers, Lyne and Multan to offload and load containers and Pytheas to offload DAP fertilizer were berthed.

Five ships, Kota Intan, Hyundai Advance, Stellamare, Lyne and Grozny departed on Friday, while Blue River, Al-Ihssa, Mercs Kandy, Sargodha and Oriental Bright are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 65,080 tons comprising 8,598 tons of export cargo and 56,482 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Cape Negro, Sima Bahar, Iwato, with containers, Taraman Bibi, delayed, with jute and Jens Munk, with general cargo.
