KARACHI, July 11: Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah was a role model for the women of Pakistan who provided strength to the Quaid-i-Azam when he was faced with great difficulties.
This was stated by Sindh minister for women development Dr Saeeda Malik while addressing a ceremony to pay tribute to Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah on her 36th death anniversary at the PML-Q House here on Friday.
She said that Miss Jinnah dreamt of a Pakistan that would be a country of love, peace and solidarity.
Advising them to foster feelings of tolerance, she said workers were the asset of any party. She urged them to stay away from the leaders who “are trying to divide the party”.
Addressing the ceremony, senior vice-president of the PML-Q Sindh, Dr Rahim-ul-Haq, urged women of the country to follow the example set by Miss Jinnah.—APP
